  About Camp Cornet

Camp Cornet is located 9 miles south of Anacortes on Highway 20 in the Deception Pass State Park on Whidbey Island. The camp is in a beautiful setting on the shores of Cornet Bay with several lakes nearby.

Arts & Crafts at camp

Some of the activities at Camp Cornet include:

  • Marine Science - Explore the marine life of Cornet Bay and learn the habitat of marine species.
  • Nature -Share the beauty and mysteries of nature with an environmental instructor.
  • Arts & Crafts -Express yourself! Make the most of your creative talents with the help of a talented instructor. Camp t-shirt to be tie-dyed included in camp fee.
  • Recreation -Hiking, swimming, canoeing, talent show, carnival, camp fires, olympics, songs, snacks and just plain fun

As exceptionally well-trained staff work to provide campers with the highest caliber of programs and care. Staff members include Specialists in Nature, Arts & Crafts, Swimming Supervision and Recreation, an Activities Program Coordinator, a Health Officer, trained volunteer counselors and a dedicated Head Cook and Kitchen staff working alongside the Director and Assistant Camp Director. Mike Rommel serves as director with 4 years of experience at Camp Cornet and years of experience in Whatcom County sports programs.

Camp facilities consist of 16 heated cabins, a dining hall, restrooms and showers, and a recreation hall.
