Climate Friendly Farming
This is a project of Washington State University's Center for Sustaining Agriculture and Natural Resources which seeks to understand the interconnections between climate change, greenhouse gas emissions and agriculture in an effort to reduce agricultural emissions of greenhouse gases, improve soil carbon sequestration, and develop bioenergy, biofuels and bioproducts from agriculture that offset the combustion of fossil fuel carbon.

WSU Extension Energy Program: Agricultural Efficiency
Farmers and ranchers use energy directly to operate machinery or equipment and to heat, cool, light and ventilate buildings. They also use energy indirectly through fertilizers and other products that are integral to production or processing. The WSU Extension Energy Program offers information, education and tools to help reduce energy use in the agriculture sector.

Harvesting Clean Energy
Harvesting Clean Energy is a program of Climate Solutions, a nonprofit organization based in Olympia, Washington. The program’s goal is to help accelerate rural economic development in the Northwest through clean energy development.

Clean Energy Farming: Cutting Costs, Improving Efficiencies, Harnessing Renewables (pdf)
This publication features innovative research and examples of farmers who are improving energy efficiency while saving money, energy, protecting natural resources, and producing renewable fuels. Sustainable Agriculture Research and Education, 2008

Extension: Farm Energy
This website is designed to provide timely and practical energy information for agricultural producers and service providers that enhances profitability, conserves natural resources, and promotes the well-being of local communities. The information is obtained from members of land-grant universities, agencies, and state and county governments.
