Guidelines for Group/Neighborhood Application

Thank you for your interest in partnering with the Community First Garden Project to create a community garden. The CFG project helps in the creation and expansion of community gardens in Whatcom County.

Background

The CFG project at WSU Whatcom County Extension is funded by a multi-year grant from The Mary Redman Foundation. The funding supports the development of community gardens in Whatcom County by awarding small garden grants. The grants can be used for such things as fences, raised beds, soil, etc., which must be matched by the group (in the form of dollars, volunteer time, or in-kind donations). No part of this grant may be used for wages or salary.

Timeline for Applying

If your group is interested in working with the Community First Garden Project to develop a community garden, you must submit an application.
