Family & Community Health
Our extension program has been providing programs and information to support families and health since 1917. Our original program focused on the venerable home economics model. Over the years our programming has evolved to support the needs of the changing population and lifestyle of Whatcom County residents. We have a large nutrition education program that you will find described in detail in these pages. We have programs for families with pre-adolescent children in both English and Spanish. We have a wide array of on-line resources for parents, youth and people who support them in their pursuit of healthy lifestyles that link us to the greater world of family and community health.
