Children's Story Garden

Paul Bunyan and Children

Paul Bunyan, an American folk hero, spent some important time in Bellingham and surrounding areas. He and Babe, the Blue Ox, are credited with digging out Bellingham Bay and piling up the soil to create Mt. Baker.

Now, Paul watches over our garden and this season children can enjoy a book and story from Paul’s Little Library while visiting the garden.

Also this year, each garden bed will feature a favorite children’s book. You will find Peter Rabbit among the lettuce, Jack climbing the beanstalk and much more.
